Just bought a 2016 1794 out of Georgia and brought it up to Northern Maine. 64k miles.

The only thing I don't love about the truck is no digital speedo and have some concerns about the FFV in the winter up here.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone with high mileage FFV motors in cold climates.

I reckon the percentage of owners with issues is rather small compared to production numbers but it makes you wonder!

What’s the concern with the FFV? Just make sure your ALC% is near zero.

Heard about some FFV owners have issues with ECM reading gas as E85 in cold climates.

Truck has spent its life in Georgia until now so never seen much for cold cold Temps.

Skip the worry and get a bidirectional scanner. Then you can check and reset the ALC% as needed. Also allows for diagnostics beyond the normal OBD2 scanner that will come in handy as your truck ages.

    Welcome from North Florida!

I have a FFV but it spends most of its time in Florida or GA. That said, next year it will be wintered in the west. My advice, dont worry about it. If you want to check, go the scanner route and press on. But I would send it until it tells you otherwise.
