    Hello all,
I need some help in identifying what metal box went behind the passenger side kick panel. I have a plug that has no mate. I’m assuming it must go to a metal box thing. Attached is the loose connection

Dude, I really tried to help you help yourself with the EWD I linked with the last thread you posted about the fog lights. Did you even look at it? Definitely don't search "metal box thing". That will get you nowhere.

That's where the 4wd module plugs in....if you have 4wd.

I was wondering about that, but was too lazy to pop off my kick panel, and was thinking, "why tf would Toyota pre-wire 4WD on a 2WD?!"

Why didn't you say so? There are other ways... Search "Ultimate TUNDRA Wiring Diagrams Collection" in the upper right corner of this page, click the box that says "search titles only". It will take your right there. Scroll down to 2000 EWD and click on it. Save it somewhere for future reference.

I think this is what you are referring too. Toyota stuck same harness in most models and just left plugs there.... i have a bunch on my sr5. Mine looks like that except that plug goes in 4x4 system ecu/controller.
