I’m good for one piece of pumpkin pie a year. I like sushi, but more of a family social event. I got a good smoker last year and have smoked some great beef meals. I bought two turkeys yesterday at Costco. My smoked turkey last year was great, and I hope to replicate it.

 

It does sound better than diet root beer.

 

I took the picture of the Shine off of a website and saw the deception. I checked the bottles in my cabinet and they all say 473 ml. I called my friend anyway and gave him shit.

I've done a lot of dry January stints and usually only lasted a week or two, until 3 years ago. Give it hell and kick it's ass!

Grid power is gone. Internet cable came back, have part of house running on solar power backup battery now. Have hot water, heat and power for internet, fridge. I hope it comes back by tomorrow afternoon. Trees cracking in forest …

We have an atmospheric river hitting us here in Northern California. Nonstop rain for the next 3-4 days with likely minor flooding in some areas. I'm sure it turns into snow when it moves inland and hits the Sierra's.

You got this! I did what I called sober lite for a while. Then with my wife being pregnant, we both quit drinking for the duration. Now we are drinking again and I am about to move back to sober lite, most likely transitioning from there to just being sober untitled.

It isnt about money or health or any of that, I just dont like how much I drink when I drink. So sober lite is basically, dont drink at all unless we are out with a friend group drinking. then have a couple. no buying for the house or events or any of that.

sober untitled is damn near the same, its just where I tell the friend groups I am on a diet so i can be left alone about not drinking socially. But, if I decide to have one or two, no one bats an eye.

I dont miss it anymore. and when I do drink it usually wonder why the next day. It was a heck of a transition years ago. And I am looking forward to it again shortly.

 

One thing I do not miss... energy drinks... Occasionally I will miss my Celsuis, but those drinks were the easiest to cut...

Now that I cannot have caffeine, I miss coffee

Yeah, I drank a lot of their coffee and supported them early. I loved those when they released. But also, their RTD are the worst in the health category. I do not miss cans at all...

I go to liquid death if I ever feel some type of away about buying something while in a gas station.

 

I cut coffee out earlier this year. I like it a lot, but it tears my guts up. I'll still have a piece of chocolate now and again, which has caffeine. Really I only drink water and whiskey, and occasionally a little milk. I wouldn't knock anyone for what they consume, but optimally calories and energy should be ingested in the form of solid food.

 

Joe Rogan just interviewed Evan Hafer (BRCC founder) this week. I've been listening to it while I get steps in for the past couple of mornings. He's an interesting dude.

 

Yeah he really is. Evan is why I started to buy into their org and company. I dont like the direction some of it has gone and the DB podcast has lost my interest years ago. Crazy as I was an early listener of it. But hey, get your money and do what you want.

I still respect Evan as a whole though. And Rogan is close to them, especially through John Dudley.
