2020 Tundra SR 4x4 with Four Wheel Pop Up Camper
    Hi,

I've got a 2020 Tundra SR base model with 18" steel rims and P255/70R18 Michelin tires. When I had the camper installed, the people at four wheel campers told me I should replace my stock tires with E rated tires when it was time to get new tires. Unfortunately, not all websites label what is an E rated tire and what isn't. It doesn't seem like there are any E rated tires in the stock size. 275/65R18 seem to be almost identical in diameter, so I'm thinking of getting the Michelin LTX A/T2 from Costco in Tire Size: LT275/65R18/E. I'm guessing the /E at the end means E rated. Obviously I'm confused, so any thoughts and opinions would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I have had good luck with Goodyear Wranglers, I am on my second set and have not had any trouble with them. They are extremely stable when towing. I believe you will have to go up one size bigger if you get an E-rated tire, which I had to do but it still fitted on my stock rims. How heavy is your camper?

Your P metric tires in XL should be just fine...unless you like losing MPG/acceleration and ride.

The plaque on my camper says it's 1100 pounds

I hadn't heard about XL tires. That sounds like a possibility and I can get them in 255/70/18. How would I determine if the load rating is sufficient for my camper?
