So, I have noticed that the marker lights and tailgate handle lights seem to stay on for a very long time. I am not sure exactly, but it seems like 10 or 15 minutes. Is this normal? Is there a setting for that?

Mine stays on for at least 20 minutes IF I leave the tailgate open . Otherwise they turn off fairly quickly. I'm not aware of a setting, but it's possible there is one. If there's no setting is it possible the truck thinks the tailgate is still open?

    Lots of stuff!
Mine stayed on until I hit the lock button on the fob twice. I recently went into the settings on the multimedia display and found a place to turn them off immediately.

On the button cluster left side just about knee high there should be a three way rocker, and in the infotainment there are also TD settings that ranges from 0 ~ 120 seconds.

That switch was it. I must have bumped it into the "on" position. The lights eventually do time out, but it is like 20 minutes or so.

yup, battery saver cuts at 20 mins which is nice so you don't have a dead battery.

I like that feature . glad you got it worked out

Yup, most vehicles have that battery saver cutoff these days. We utilize that feature on our Vettes... connect the battery maintainer charger to the socket in the rear hatch area and leave the hatch cracked open to prevent pinching the wire. The compartment courtesy light times out after about 15 or 20 minutes.

toyota has had a master shutoff since at least my 2014 4runner. if it sense's a battery drain for 20 mins it will cut power. one of the pro's of a canbus system i imagine. i think the newer systems can isolate the offending drain and shut that off but i think on my 2014 it just cuts power to everything not critical.

Three on the column was easy. Some older German/European cars had 4-speeds on the column. Dad taught me to drive a cab-over Mack with a 4-speed main and 4-speed Brownie (1st was a "grannie-type gear" so only 3 were used); Start out in 1st on the main, 2nd on the Brownie; then 3rd on the Brownie, then 4th; then 2nd on the main and 2nd on the Brownie. Constantly shifting. He was good and always "floated" the gears--never used the clutch once under way. Really an art.

Okay ya' codger, :smash:, I just sold a Dodge Straight-8 that had a pump pedal next to the clutch to sound the siren (converted police car). Remember those?

I remember stepping on the accelerator twice to prime before I key up:hattip:

Lol back in the day you could pop the hood and pretty much sit on a quarter panel work on the engine and eat your lunch, there was so much room compared to all the BS under today's vehicle hoods.
