    Hi all,

I've been reading through a bunch of radio/amp install threads but still a little confused.
I have a 2005 access cab non jbl with amp under rear seat.

I have a sony headunit with preamp outs.

I intend to run my door speakers off a new power amp.

I see there's an amp bypass harness that connects to what I assume is the factory amp output and then long pigtail to wire to my headunits speaker wires.

Car came with the axxess axto-ty1, utilizing aftermarket radio while using factory amp.

Do I remove this if I'm using my own power amp?
Do I plug the amp bypass harness from factory amp output, and then pigtail leads go to my new power amp?

If I remove the axxess, what do I need to plug from factory radio harness to my new radio harness?

    Thanks,
    David

What Sony head unit do you have specifically?

As far as signal input to your new amp, you could splice into factory wiring, get an integration harness, or run RCA's for input. For signal output at your new amp, you'd have to splice factory wires or get an integration harness.

I believe these are the harnesses you'd need, and then you'd end up splicing into these rather than your factory wires. I'd recommend just emailing AutoHarnessHouse and explaining what you've got/what you're trying to accomplish and they should be able to get you squared away:
