Hey everyone I'm new to this group and just picked up my first tundra (2025 platinum). Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about leaving the parking brake in auto vs. disabling it?
    Thanks.

originally had mine on but noticed my rear brakes warped real quick. Replaced rear pads and rotors and turned off the auto feature and my rear pads have yet to warp. I never set the parking brake on any other car/truck unless I needed it...no need to use it every day, imo.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I have never used it on any other Toyota that I have had except on steep hills. Never had a problem before.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! My 2020 doesn't have the auto parking brake but I have seen it on several rentals. I hate it. Just another nanny, in my opinion. In another generation, people won't know anymore how to properly drive without all the nannies.

I have a 2024 Platinum with 2600miles. No rear brake issues. Setting and unsetting the e-brake will not damage the rotors or pads (unless your trying to drive with the e-brake on). I like the auto e-brake feature. It's all personal preference.
