    I have installed many systems over the last 35 years in many of my cars.

    I am looking to order everything I need and then knock the entire system out over around 2 days.

    I am using a mixture of stuff I already own and some new items

    Vehicle is a 2024 Crew Cab non hybrid non JBL

    Here is the layout (only running front stage)

    Dash = Audiofrog GS25 widebands (new)
    Door = Audiofrog GS690 (6x9 mids) (new)

    DSP = Dayton 408 (old)
    Soundordance 4x75 (old)
    Audiopipe ADSM 2000 (old)

    For subs I am waiting on Gately to come out with the 4th gen box with 4 - 8" subs. I will be using their seat relocation kit as well. In the mean time I will toss a box with a couple Skar ZVX 8's on the rear seat

    Here are my questions.

    1) Door speakers, I have read how a few people have used the Audiofrog 6x9's in the door but no talk about if spacers or other adapters were needed.

    Do I need anything to install them?

    2) is under the drivers front seat the best place to install all the equipment? I do want to keep full use of the rear underseat storage area.

    3) Does anyone have some pictures of how they sound deadened their front doors?

    So I can't speak to the 6x9's exactly, but a couple of pieces of info that might be helpful. Crutchfield says the GS690's won't fit, but what do they know. From CF though, you can get some measurements that are useful:

    Ignore the speakers and brackets column. They used to show measurements for speakers even if they didn't fit a selected vehicle, but it looks like within the last couple weeks they only show measurements for speakers that fit. Regardless, you can see you've got a ~2.71" depth, the GS690's have a 2-7/8" depth which is very close. Can also get a couple useful pics from CF. Left is a 2022+ front door opening and speaker, compared to a 2021 front door opening/speaker on the right.

    Previous years had a true 6x9", whereas the 2022+ has a ~6x9" bracket but a ~6-3/4" speaker.
    I found one Ebay listing for someone that makes 2022+ ABS adapter brackets. That said, I'd guess that if you reached out to a fine company like SoundsGoodStereo they'd be able to custom cut a pair with an ovular rather than circular cut out.

    As far as gear installation location goes, under seat is great for accessibility. Under front seat is bad for spills, kicking feet in the back, and theft. I think it depends on if you have power seats or not for ease of install. Can custom make an amp rack pretty easily out of HDPE or ABS or buy one from everybody's favorite site to hate lol. It looks like they have one that goes under driver seat with no power seats, otherwise for power seats it looks like they offer one that installs behind the rear seats.

    For sound deadening, although I have a 2021, the doors are more or less the same. Here's a couple pics of my front doors. Be forewarned, what I did is overkill. I've heard a lot of folks say the 2022+ doors have a lot of rattles. I would probably focus on around the actual speaker opening, and then on any loose plastic bits in the door card or any wires etc. in the door panel.

    I am doing the exact same right now (other than the equipment I am using is different). I believe I have the same truck as OP.... 2024 TRD OR, non-JBL with 14" HU. The door speakers all have a 1" adapter to clear the window glass when down. All four doors are in fact 6.5" speakers, but the front doors have an oval-ish cut-out. As @Snert mentioned, there is someone on eBay selling an adapter for 6"X9"s with a 1" depth for the front doors. If you are dead set on 6"X9"s then this adapter should work. If not set in stone on the 6"X9"s then there are many options for 6.5" & 6.75" (and even 8") adapters with 1" depths....as mentioned the place that is automatically *'d when typed does have a nice, heavy duty speaker adapter, but you are gonna PAY for them. There are plenty of other options available. I found a guy on DIYMobileAudio, that I am having CNC some nice adapters for me. For what it's worth, my set-up (my most recent final decisions) is Memphis Audio Mojo Pros 6.5" in all for doors and the Mojo Pro tweets in the rear doors and A-Pillars. The subs will be Memphis Mojo Pros, but I am not 100% decided on whether I am doing 8" or 10", but I will be doing a pair of whichever I decide to go with. I am doing an active crossover system via DSP, which will be a Down4Sound EZY DSP612. I plan to power the entire system off one amp, the Down4Sound EZY PWR 810. We'll see how it all works out. I plan to do a build diary and post it in this forum as well as DIYMA.
