Toyota RNG makes no sense to me

So me an my dad bought Tundras new in September of 2022. The experience for the most part has been good but I find Toyota to be really weird and inconsistent. For more context, I have a 2022 TRD OR 4x4 Limited in Silver, and my dad bought a 2022 Limited 2WD in Blueprint.

We both had the Gas tank recall, and as of a few months ago the engine recall. We both have company trucks, so our Tundras get driven maybe on weekends. He has 11,000 miles and I have 23k miles. They had called me that my gas tank part came in and fixed my issue. On the other hand it took Toyota 6 months to get the part for my dad's truck.

I also found out this weekend, after my dad's truck got stuck and I pulled him out, that he has the active aero front spoiler thing, and mine does not. I looked it up on here and found tons of inconsistencies with answers on why mine does not. People are saying it is because I have a "hybrid" but tons of people with hybrids have them (granted they are 2023+). My thinking here is that when I purchased this truck for a few bit more than my dad that I would have ALL the features his has.... because they are both Limited's. And the active spoiler does help with mpg, even if it is only 1mpg. I have done a few trips to my in-laws about 500 miles on way.

Toyota also reached out to me about my engine recall before my Dad. Our trucks are a few weeks in age apart. Bought within 2 weeks of each other. I am trying to figure out why Toyota is the way it is. I feel a little ripped off not getting a limited feature in my Limited truck but having paid for a Limited truck.

And both my Dad's neighbors bought 2023 Limited's and they don't have the eagle eye parking camera, but have some integrated Dash cam.

I get that getting parts can be hard for chips and what not but the inconsistency of packages in trucks is mind boggling. You have to have RNG when buying a new truck to find one with the exact feature you want.

*EDIT DISCLAIMER: Me and my dad both got the same tech package with our Limited*

I believe that yours having the Off-Road package deletes the active spoiler.

I have the 2022 Limited with the OR package and the active spoiler, so that's not it. I can check my original sticker and see what package includes the spoiler.
BTW, I don't have the gas tank fuel line repair or the new engine yet. Hoping to get them both done in the same trip when available.

I concur with LayK. It has always baffled me the way Toyota Puts these vehicle together as far as options. My OR came with the spoiler for example. Some with the same year as mine who don't want the spoiler simply disconnect the motor and take it off with no codes while others have codes thrown. Two trucks with supposedly the same "package" yet one will have something added while the other does not. There seems to be no standard consistency. It's like two guys on the line with with one having a spare part and saying to the other "what do I do with this" to which the other replies Just put it on the next truck that comes down the line.

https://www.tundras.com/threads/no-...xt=The TRD Off Road package, you don't have it.

Wayne73 in this thread has my exact same truck and has the air dam. He is not the only one on here saying they have it. I mean this is the internet so they might be wrong but I have seen a few others have TRD OR packages and have it.

So you are not alone in the fact that some OR's have it and others don't.

Now I get that this feature is annoying for mods, and I plan on adding a winch in the future. But I paid for a limited with the same package as my Dad (who has it). I can't remember the cost, but if me and him both have 2500$ tech package, on a same trim truck. It better have the same features, regardless that mine is an OR and his is not.

Now if my package was 2000$ and his cost more, AND Toyota consistently did not put it on my OR package.

As I am typing this I had called my dealer to ask and get more information, and the Manager said that it is "because it is a hybrid, and that because it is a hybrid it already moves the air without the air dam."

If anyone reading this has a Hybrid engine regardless of OR package, can we confirm this. Someone on this forum has to be able to prove them wrong. Also if so would someone be willing to post a video of walking their truck to show this. I will probably reach out to Toyota as I have the invoice for both me and my Dad's truck, and the only difference is the 3500$ TRD OR package.
