I can second this. I had a Magnaflow welded in on the stock piping. I loved it at first but once it broke in, it gave a ridiculous drone at highway speeds. I went with a @dirtydeeds aluminized system, can't remember whether I did an 8" or 10" system, but it's much better. Perfect balance of sound in the cab, not overpowering but you can still hear it. The resonator included in the kit eliminates the drone, and if I want to hear the truck simply rolling the window down gives me a great tone. If I ever have to buy another one of these trucks, I'll definitely be adding one of these exhausts.

If you look at the installed picture of 1lowlife's post, you can see that Dirty Deeds uses a muffler per bank, with a y-pipe at the end. Also check the link to their site. It has a picture showing the complete system.

Keith @dirtydeeds could answer that for you.
Give him a call if he doesn't respond here.

He has helped me with a few things when I simply needed some information.

You really want some drone, install a maganflow!

Tundras are very prone to drone and it gets quite bad. Ditto on dirtydeeds, actual performance improvement and you can get the system in any level of loudness you might want.

A muffler in each bank before the y pipe creates a proprietary sound. No other company does this so no other company has this clean of a sound.

using a muffler which loses power for the sake of sound seems crazy to me. That’s why I started this whole thing;)

I can send just a muffler too, doesn’t have to be a bolt on. Give a call to work out details for a build which suits your lifestyle and budget. 760-877-4234

Don't. You will lose low end torque.

Yessir. This whole American Dream that I am living is the result of there being no good exhaust solutions for our trucks some nearly 20 years ago.

I’ve fixed all of that!! No need to reinvent the wheel guys;) Gove a call!!! 760-877-4234

Flowmaster super40 they put the y before the inlet. And it's a single out. Sounds awesome.

Makes my head hurt just looking at it.
Mine was great around town, but once on the highway, the drone made me nauseous.
Like the time I put Cherry Bombs on my 1994 Chevy 1500 350V8...:(

Hope you have better luck with yours....

Not trying to pee in your cheerios. I’m sure that system is great for your use of your truck. But for anybody starting an exhaust project:

going smaller in diameter than stock loses horsepower

combining both banks of exhaust into a single muffler loses horsepower

having chambers in a muffler loses power

this set up has less power than stock.

4 valves per cylinder means it'll never sound as good as the ones that don't perform as well. I'll take a deep breathe over a loud fart any day.

It honestly worked out perfect. Not to loud causing on expressway is awesome. Quiet.
