I have a 2024 with 1000 miles on it and I was thinking about adding an aftermarket air filter system. I called the service department at the dealer and they told me that it could possibly void any warranty on any part that it touches, including the upper part of the engine. That seems ridiculous to me. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts?

yes, that could happen, especially with a shitty dealer, if your concerned about it stay with TRD stuff.

Get the TRD air filters and keep your warranty.

Yes for last 50 years all Truck brand will blame aftermarket air filters for engine problems. Some are caused by the filters some are not. I have personally seen High performance oil type air filters cause oil consumption because of worn rings because they let more crap into the motor, ir as the maker of said air filter says allows more/ less restricted air flow.

So any oil conxumption, worn piston rings, turbo wear issues ect ect will most likely not be fixed under a warranty if you have aftermarket system. Now you can use a different brand air filter that meets OEM specs.

But if you roll in with a blown turbo with HP+, Chinese made cold air intake 3000 system that replaces the oem you will be denied warranty for engine problems.

    Lots of stuff!
I can hear the service advisor now:

“The K&N filter caused your main bearings to spin right out! We have never seen this before and unfortunately we can’t honor your extended warranty, we estimate the replacement cost to be around $30,000!
Will that be cash or credit?”

Remember companies are in it to make as much profit as possible. A tech makes alot less doing warranty work, so if they get the warranty void they will make almost twice as much if customers have to pay cash.

Nothing that I know of, just looking to increase MPG. I installed the TRD filters and called it good.

Air filters don't increase MPG. Even a Dirty one won't hurt mpg, the computer will just adjust the fuel/air ratio. If its 19 years old and filthy it will lower your HP but still won't hurt MPG much. The computer will just adjust itself

Remember the 80s and 90s when all the aftermarket air filter companies would have 50+HP and 5 EXTRA MPG on their air filter packages? Well after tons of people sued them and they couldn't prove anything they stopped claiming that crap.

People still for some reason think automotive companies are unable to build an airfilter that provides the correct airflow for the motor, and Amazon special made in China air filter will unleash the beast .

Keeping your tires inflated to proper PSI will increase MPG more than an air filter.
