Clevises are fairly big when compared to a standard 3/4”’clevis.

Total weight of the kit is right at 40 lbs.

You have to remove the lower sway bar bracket and replace it with the one shown below. This is the part I struggled with the most. You’re fighting the weight of the sway bar, plus the rubber isolator, and it needs to be pulled towards the front of the vehicle and up. I used a floor jack for help. Once I got the one side done the other side was a piece of cake. I started both bolts by hand and then went back and forth to cinch them up. The bottom purple bolt in the picture should have had a black washer behind it. Then once your ready on both sides you loosen the bolt in the bottom of the pic a half inch and can slide the clevis arm in place.

Overall pic, more to come when I get the rest put back together. Had to remove the entire front clip to install this.

did you give it the obligatory “ that ain’t going anywhere “ after tightening the last bolt?

critical last step in any project

    For sure!

These are definitely a pull straight on during recovery. The two forward bolts go into a bracket that then gets bolted into the aluminum crash bar.

Also got this from my local dealer for $530 and took two days from from order placed to parts in hand.

Thanks, new trim piece has dimples to put a front license plate on which I still need to do. Think I will go with a black clevis same shape as the silver ones posted. The supplied TRD clevises are just to bulky IMO.

Looks really good. I think I like the standard, non-Toyota clevises better also. (In black.)

@LB-1889 Thanks for the pics. The document says there's cutting involved. How difficult was that part?

One thing I didn’t take a pic of…but basically a 6” x 1” piece of the inner plastic frame needed to be trimmed out where the trim is recessed around the clevises. I used my oscillating tool.

I test fit the new lower trim piece and you can see on the bottom where it slightly contacts it. I would not recommend cutting the plastic with the new trim piece snapped in place.

That would be the time to do it since you have to pull the front clip off.

When I did it I bought an extra and had it painted rather then pulling the front clip off twice.
