I expected it to be bad, but not that bad. Tyson looked like an 80 year old man when he was getting out of his car to walk into the stadium. He fought pretty much like an 80 year old man. Paul could have knocked him out at any point in the fight. Hilarious highlights, though - his bare ass in the locker room, and telling that WWE announcer he has a biting fixation - made staying up not so disappointing.

 

I expected It to be bad as well

so I went to sleep

woke up glad I missed it

and, inadvertently, that stunt may have crippled boxing for life

 

Oddly, women's boxing was probably benefitted; notwithstanding the criminally horrible official scorecard. And for anyone who doesn't know, that Irish chick was absolutely using her head as a weapon the whole fv(king fight. She should have had a point taken in at least three rounds.

I didn't watch it either. As I had previously posted, I didn't consider it anything more than an exhibition show and I don't find those sorts of matches entertaining. To those who think boxing is dead I present to you 3 championship fights that lived up to their hype or were entertaining:

Usyk vs. Fury - Exciting fight. Rematch this December. Should be good.

Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Didn't agree with the judges scores but that's any sporting event these days. Fight was very good from two elite level fighters.

Dubois vs. Joshua - Wasn't expecting Joshua to get pasted as bad as he did. Good fight, winner of Usyk vs. Fury could fight Dubois for the undisputed title although Usyk has previously beaten Dubois.

 

Well here’s to hoping Cast Iron Mike didn’t sleep alone last night. Or hopefully he slept well.
