First, back up. We know nothing about your truck. Not only that, but the set upholstery has nothing to do with what amp came with it.

    What year truck, 2004, 2005, or 2006?

Did it originally have the 'premium' setup (non-JBL), or the JBL setup, or no amp at all?

Your amp would've been installed under the back wall plastic panel, on the driver's side. It may still be there. If not, we may need to see the wiring harnesses that are there so it's possible to pull the EWD for your truck and try to backtrace based on the wire colors. I assume the Fujitsu (premium) amp had a different pinout than the JBL amp. And you'll want to replace with whatever came with your truck.

If you can post a clear pic of both connectors, that would be super helpful.

It’s a 2004 with the JBL set up, I’ll try to get a photo of the Wiring back there right now

I have a 2006 DC Limited with fabric seats that came with the JBL Premium 8 speaker option. I replaced all the JBL system when I upgraded the stereo to all aftermarket. I sold my JBL fabric seat amp to another poster on this site who had a DC with a leather seat amp that had failed. My fabric seat amp did work in his leather seat DC. It may have been luck that he had the same 8 speaker JBL premium system that I had.

The attached 3 pics of the amp and head unit I still have saved on Imgur when I sold the amp.

    ^ that's badass info..

    Double cab or access cab?
    Makes a big difference.

You can find wiring diagrams here to see the difference in connecters.

Double cab as stated in the title , thanks for the info confirming the fabric seat amp will work as it’s cheaper on eBay, appreciate it!

I'm not sure it will work. If the one on ebay is for the same JBL system your truck has I think a fabric or leather will work. There a several variations of the JBL system in the double cabs.

Join toyota owners website, input your VIN # and see what JBL system your truck came with when built.

so I finally wired in the fabric seat amp part number 86280-0C040 in my 04 ltd double cab and low and behold it works! The leather seat one that the truck is specified with, part 86280-0C030 is priced to the moon everywhere I looked so nice to have an alternative. Hope this helps someone else too. Why Toyota bothered making two part numbers for the same amp based on your seat fabric is beyond me.
As the truck had an amp bypass, I made sure to purchase the fabric amp that had the plugs with it and harness snipped, from there, it was a simple task of matching the colours after removing the bypass wiring and using butt connectors with a crimping tool to join the wiring harness with the amps plugs

Just note, as part of reinstalling the JBL OEM amp, the drivers (speakers) on the JBL system were (IIRC) all 2ohm. If the PO upgraded the speakers, you may find the sound quality is different for that reason (the amp would see half the load if typical 4ohm drivers, thus not push nearly as hard).

Much of JBL's aftermarket drivers these days are all 3ohm to eke out a bit more power, so they're a nice, accurate-repro option for drivers. There are a few others out there who have 3ohm drivers, but JBL is arguably some of the best bang vs. buck in the well-rounded sound sphere.
