lol, I knew the second I read that title, people were going to show up and post their cracked panels instead of this being all the non-cracked ones.

we have the auto boards so we dont slide in/out of the seat.

personally i think that is the biggest culprit that is causing the cracked panels

and the 2nd gen had that issue but you rarely heard of it.

Only 2k on my truck and no cracks yet, but I have read all the threads and I think that the theory of how you get in/out of the truck is spot on.

If you slide downward getting out, you’re much more likely to have the issue. And I’ve always done that in the past on other trucks that were leveled and at 6’-0” I could barely get straight in/out. But with a 3” lift and 35” tires on my Tundra, I have to use the step bars for the first time in my life.

I paid attention to how I get out with this specific issue in mind, and I’m actually stepping up to exit and sitting down to enter. I don’t see any signs of flexing on that plastic part, so I doubt I’ll ever have issues. But if I push down on the edge seat cushion with my hand, I can see the plastic flex. So, that certainly seems to be the problem.

Sitting in a 2023 TRD which now shows 12,xxx miles. I noticed at about 10,xxx miles begging of were the plastic is bending. You could feel where the failure is in the plastic that there is not good supporting that the plastic is pretty thin. I'm 5'7 at 180 lbs.
