I think my ECM is bad, but I can’t seem to find any replacement with the same part number. Anyone know how I could find a compatible ECM?

part number on the sticker is 89661-0CS70

I'd say its stealership time for a proper ID. (only real time I go to one and you know why)

I just used fs1inc.com replace an ECM for a 4Runner. Reviews are mixed, but the process was smooth for me. They provide a used ECM programmed for your vin and a process to sync it with the other vehicle computers. All that said, I don’t see the part number pictured above available there. It might be worthwhile to use their lookup tool for your vehicle and call to confirm compatibility.

Connecting to techstream, I cannot communicate with the ECM. Checking the can bus lines, there is no resistance going to the can bus pins in the ECM, check other can bus lines seems to show normal values. The car does run, just not communicating with the ECM.

Unfortunately I contacted fs1 and they said they don’t do it for my truck.

I contacted one dealership and they said the appropriate ECM was 89660-0CS30, but you look on another dealership website and it says that one won’t fit my truck.

I just don’t want to buy the wrong one and waste 1k.

    Thanks!
