Bought a 2022 Limited OR. Had 69K miles on it. HOPED that it had made it beyond the failure line as that list circulating with the engine failures only had one that had mileage this high. I figured even if the motor does fail I have a built in warranty. I bought this to tow with as I bought a bigger travel trailer and my 2019 Tacoma wouldn't be able to tow. I already towed my 5K trailer with the Tundra and what a difference from the Tacoma. Like night and day.

I got an oil analysis done and it came back very nice but I think there wasn't that many miles on the oil so we'll see on the next one in a couple months. I will upload them in that oil analysis thread.

I replaced all the chrome with color matched or black. Not sure if I'm gonna do the mustache and the rear bumper caps. Somewhat cost prohibitive. At least they aren't chrome.

Already did the front brakes because of a pulsation. One of the inner pads was MUCH more worn than the outside. Pistons moved okay. The slider pins seemed to be holding the pads up. Replaced the rotors with the newer upgraded rotors from Toyota. They seemed considerably heavier than the originals.

Now I'm just "baselining" the truck as far as maintanence goes. Did the dif fluids, the spark plugs, and am going to do a tranny filter and a fluid exchange and the TC case very soon. Besides all the filters, this should get me to where I want to be going forward.

Might do a lift and tires in the future but after doing 3 lifts on my past 3 Toyotas (19 Tacoma, 1999 4Runner, 2000 4Runner) and ended up chasing the ride it originally had (or at least close to it), I am on the fence about that. All and all I am VERY happy with this truck. Look forward to the discussion on here. I was very active on TW and TR4.org and like to contribute on subjects I have knowledge in.
