    Hey all, I'm newer to this forum. 2024 Tundra SR5 Double Cab, Full bed.

    Anybody else seeing wrinkle issues with the Trim Covers on seat bolsters? This is the passenger side outer bolster after 9400 miles. I mentioned it to the dealer at the 3 month service...they told me to bring it up again at the 1 year service if it got worse. Here we are at 1 year and it's worse - they don't want to address it under warranty.

    Odd too because most often there is nobody in the passenger seat. What are your thoughts?

    Overall, kind of pissed at the dealer...they didn't even try to file a claim or do anything about it. Said I'd need to pay out of pocket to fix.

    The dealership is going to string you along for as long as possible. They will kick the can down the road, because they don't want to deal with it.

    You have three options. Contact Toyota corporate, get a laywer, or ignore it.

    Also the Toyota corporate complaint website is super glitchy on mobile, recommend doing it on a computer.

    just call the 800 number and submit a claim. they will most likely tell you to take it in to be looked at but they will get the ball rolling faster and better than you trying to with the dealership

    Try a different dealer if possible.

    Thanks gents! (Goobax excepted) I appreciate the help.

    I did call the 800 number - they opened a case for the dealership to resolve. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear there's a good way to submit pictures with phone, but there was a more complicated way to do it online. Hopefully they can address it!

    I have never had a leather seat that didn't do that. My 2012 did the exact same thing even after the recall to replace the cover

    @Hella Krusty

    ...that's not good. I know it's a quality issue because the other 3 bolsters aren't like this. Is this a Toyota thing then? I've never seen this on my previous Hondas or Chevys.

    I had a similar issue on the passenger seat, though not as noticeable as yours. After a few months it went away. My guess is the heating of the material during the summer allowed it to stretch a bit. Even still, it shouldn't be like that on a new vehicle. Hopefully yours gets resolved quickly.

    Except that's not leather. It's vinyl, pleather if you will. It shouldn't be doing that. It's a defect. Is it a big deal? Probably not right now. But it may lead to a tear in the future. My son's truck and my truck, both with the same material, doesn't do that.

    It’s a defect. It’s Softex, not leather. I’ve got a 22 with 30K miles and it certainly doesn’t look like that.
