I understand there are a few posts about this but I have had a few issues with this. I also don't remember exactly what the previous codes were but I will endeavour to explain as much as I can. It has been happening for about a year or so, first started with check engine light and 4lo blinking it was my air intake solenoids a and b so I replaced one and reused the other one after i cleaned it and let it dry for 24 hrs and put it back in. It ran great for about 6 months. Then it came back on I replaced the solenoid that I cleaned and reused with a new one and bam no codes. I drove it for over 2500 miles in 4 weeks had some family issues I had to take care of and it was the holidays. After I got back I changed my oil and drove it with no codes till the weekend and then that check engine light and 4lo came on this time however my traction control light was on. So I took it in we ended up replacing both air intake pumps and the error codes went away all of them except one of them p0412. From the time I came back from the holidays along with the pump error codes I was getting I also had this p0412 code. I did some research and and saw that p0412 could be caused by the o2 sensor so we replaced it but I still have this p0412 error code and I would really like to figure this issue out if any one has any ideas I'm all ears

I have a 2012 4.6l. And yes I have the same problem. I already replaced both air switching valves. After each one was replaced the code went away for a few weeks. Now its back agian. I'm going to keep working on it. But let me know what you been doing too.

Hi Abomb920, I'm having the same problem. I replaced the secondary air pump bank one (P2441), It worked for a few months then I got the same code again and replaced it again (I thought maybe a faulty replacement part) then I had to do it a third time which only worked for a week and now I'm getting a different code (P0412) have you found a solution?

    Hi big sculpt,
Yes after testing all the parts and wires and connectors i was lost with no idea left. Everything worked fine. So I brought it in. They ended up replacing the same part I replaced. Just make sure you use toyota's parts. I talk to the tech and he told me other part makers are not compatible. It's a hit and miss. Hope this helps for no one in this thread had a idea for help. I did tons of testing and low and behold it was the same part I replaced. The part store actually gave me my money back for A fualty part.

    Hi Abomb,
Thanks for your response, I think you are right. I ran across a list of related codes and there meanings. The original code P2441 is a mechanical failure code so replacing the bad part was the solution. The new code P0414 points to the same part but it is an electrical code. That combined with what you are saying and my own research into the problem with aftermarket parts leads me to believe that an OEM part is the solution. I'll post after I change it out and let everyone know if that made the difference.
    Thanks again.
