So sometimes when I got to start my truck I hop in turn the key I hear everything click and buz but when you turn the ignition to engage the starter just dosnt do anything no click buz whirring sound but if I throw it in neutral it starts right up no issue and most times it just starts normally anyways is the truck not registering it's in park maybe bad shift linkage bad starter bad ignition and if so what would be a good way of diagnosing the root problem and a good way of fixing it

I would second neutral safety switch. Speaking of which... I may need to test Neutral as I'm having a sorta similar issue.
