    Hi forum

finally got around to changing the primary chain tensioner on my 5.7 tundra. It has rattled the last year and I am tired of hearing it.

I currently have the timing cover off and notice a bit of slack on the non-tensioned side of the primary passenger chain as well as the secondary chain.

the secondary chain tensioner is fully depressed and has no tension on the chain. Is this a hydraulic/oil fed tensioner? Is the primary chain slack worrysome? I will line up timing and ensure no stretching has occurred.

    thank you for your responses

I'd change all four of the tensioners if it where me.
