I have recently started hearing a rhythmic thumping noise when driving from 10-40 mph. I have already replaced wheel bearings, I have new tires, my alignment is good. I have no idea what this noise is. The video won’t upload but it sounds similar to a wheel bearing it makes noise dependent on the speed. If I speed up noise speeds up. I can also almost feel the wheel spinning through t the steering wheel. It is quite loud but I can’t hear it above 40.

Could have broken teeth on the differential ring gear, failing CV joint, etc.

Does it do it in 4wd? Search for front diff needle bearing and see if it sounds like that’s it. There are some videos of people with the issue you can find to compare.

Is there supposed to be this much room on the inner cv axle?

    What year? 2007 5.7 engine?

If you running in "S" mode and locked out 6th gear, all our trucks make that noise when shifted up to 5th and cruising 50-70 mph

I meant when in 4wd, do you still have the noise? Or is the noise on there in 2wd.

Then most likely it's the needle bearing in the front differential.

Planning on replacing soon. How much time do I have before this becomes a big issue?

Honestly, it would depend on mileage more than time. For that, I cannot give you a number because too many variables are involved.

Lol. Mine has growled since 50k miles. It now has 250k miles.

There have been no failures reported. It's just an annoying noise.

Yours sounds like a wheel bearing too right?

Replaced bed after rear end, replaced rear lights, replaced broken rear brake line, re-clamped leaf springs.
I'm hearing a similar noise. I hear it when I start rolling out the driveway, and the sound speeds up when the car speeds up (clunk, clunk, clunk). Then my ABS light and Traction Control lights go on and the noise goes away.

Any advice would be helpful, since this is a new truck for me (2016 salvage due to being rear ended).
