    ARE CX Evolve Topper
    Hello,
I'm exploring options of roof top tents on my ARE CX Evolve topper. I'm curious if there are other ARE or LEER topper owners who have done this? Any warranty concerns I should have? My Topper did come with tracks.

    Thank you for any insight.

I have had a hardshell RTT on that same topper. No issues, just added the Yakima bars to the supplied tracks. Standard topper, no HD needed.

    This from their warranty section...

The A.R.E. HD Series has been designed to carry 550 lbs. evenly distributed on the HD Series roof rack and 200 lbs evenly distributed in each toolbox.
Not covered under this warranty is structural failure due to neglect, alterations, addition of equipment, abuse, accident, off-road driving, use in competitive racing, vibrations from worn or altered truck suspensions or sound equipment, or acts of nature including but not limited to tornados, hurricanes, hail, and earthquakes.

Take into account the weight of the RTT along with it's occupants. Make sure the topper is properly secured to the truck according to the manufactures instructions, if done by a dealer check the install instructions and make sure they did it right.

Hello, if you have warranty concerns you should get warranty info. direct from canopy manufacturer in writing, not the store selling the product. How heavy a tent, what type of driving conditions, what type of roof rack?
Most common roof racks from thule and yakima and rhino rack are only rated to carry 150 - 200 lbs. Read the small print in warranty info., such as off-road driving, alterations or addition of equipment, altered suspension.
When it comes to warranty it is BUYER BEWARE. Do your research AND home work. The manufacturer warranty now is not like it was 30 years ago regardless of brand. Best of luck to you.
