should I flush it with something to make it so fresh and so clean, like a summer meadow, for the new radiator?

Im not sure I completely understand the question.

A new radiator is ready to install out of the box.

Prior to installing the new radiator would be a great time to flush the rest of the cooling system. This can be accomplished by blowing (low pressure) compressed air throughout the system. you can do this via the rad hoses, and the heater core lines on the firewall.

I've used a cheap kit like this to flush a system that was full of rust and crust, but didn't warrant any component replacement. Idled the truck with the hose feeding it fresh water for 10-15 minutes and I was very satisfied with the results.

just to clean out the rest of the system minus the radiator...or is the radiator the only place any junk would be?

I'd drain the block and then use the kit linked above to flush out the engine

I bought that same flush kit 50 years ago. Couplers went with the car but I still have the old spout.

If you buy the concentrate anti-freeze instead of 50/50, make sure you use either distilled water or reverse osmosis.
