Stumbled into an opportunity to upgrade to the Fenix8 that I couldn’t pass up… but I need to move this to make up the difference.

Full details of the watch can be found here:
    https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/884088/pn/010-02804-00

I’ve had this for just over a year, and it’s been everywhere with me (including a 15k Tough Mudder two weeks ago in Texas). It’s flawlessly counted my steps, workouts, sleep, snowboarding, hiking, jogging, and everything else. The sapphire glass is flawless, and the DLC coating in the bezel only has a few barely noticeable rubs.

The built in flashlight is one of the features I have come to love about this watch - set to red light and I can stumble into the bathroom for those 3am wake ups to pee without stubbing my toe or waking my wife up. With the display set to smart wake, I can go easily 25 days between charges (less if I do some GPS tracks each week). And the AMOLED screen is crisp, bright, and responsive (it’s a touch screen). FWIW, I think the analog watch face shown below is the best Garmin watch face I’ve used to date - I’m missing it on my new one (and trying to find a suitable replacement).

Comes with a brand new authentic Garmin silicone black/gray band and is compatible with any Garmin or aftermarket 26mm QuickFit bands. Brand new charging/data cable also included in the box with the paper manual.

Withdrawn. The Fenix8 is going back

That is a steal! Are you liking the Fenix 8 more then the Epix?

I love mine - I do think I bore it though. I caught it checking out Andy at the Tough Mudder. :(

    What watch face is that?

    It’s… different
I miss the Epix Pro analog watch face. Nothing close to it by default in the Fenix so I’m hunting for a third party one that isn’t glitchy.
Same HR sensor hardware, so no changes there.
The overall case is just slightly bigger so I’m having to mess with the band sizing to get the right fit during workouts. The pixel density on the Fenix is also higher, so I’m having to figure out a good setting that works for my eyes now that they are getting old.

Really the only noticeable new things (other than pixel density) are the built in mic and speaker…can use it to tell Siri to respond to text messages or take a phone call. But I am not that guy that’s going to sit there talking into my phone so not much use for that. Oh, and all the menu settings are rearranged so it was a pain to try to match how the other one was set up.

I’ll persevere but TBH the Epix Pro might still be my favorite so far.
