I removed the grill in 2022 tundra sr5 and forgot to hook up active shutters before start up truck threw code for parking brake malfunction and active shutter. I shut it down and plugged in shutters that went away then brake code stayed. So, I pulled out the code reader and erased it. However, now I am hearing weird noise at start up like a servo type thing trying to do something and not working do the shutters need to be in a certain position at shut down? The noise doesn’t really sound like the front end more sounds like on top of motor honestly but this is new since grill install. Side note don’t use turtle wax bug and tar remover unless you want the grill and bumper covers to turn white .

    Lots of stuff!
The first question would be, did you put the grille back on?

Did you swap the grille to a different one? Any obstructions in the way of the shutters? Some of the grille options include a lightbar and those have brackets that run in front of the shutters.

You could try to open the shutters manually by gently moving the louvers to fully open just be careful not to force them as the little linkages and gears could be fragile. Then disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect to see it they reset.

Try posting some pictures if you can.
