Do you have to adjust the aiming of the lights?

How do you set the leveling motors?

    Or is everything preset?

Yup I saw that thread, IIRC it was referring to retrofits, but if I buy replacement stock tundra headlamp assemblies will I need to aim them or are they preset and just bolt on?

They are probably pretty darn close. You will want to check them. I don't recall exactly how, something like park 25 feet from a wall, brightest intensity light should be measured and equal to the height of headlight bulb on the car, i think slightly higher on passenger side is ok. I'll try find the actual procedure, I want to check mine too. I may aim mine a little higher even if they are correct now, I never get flashed, and a couple times not even with high beams on. I can always ask down with the leveling motors if I need to.

That's what I was thinking. Would it only be a vertical adjustment or is there a side to side as well?

I looked today and only saw a vertical adjustment screw, it's actually part of the leveling motor.

My old cars and trucks I could do a side to side adjustment as well, but I can see why they may have some away with that, no way to aim lights dead left into traffic anymore lol

If you swap the level motors you will HAVE to adjust...you should check aim anyway with any new assembly because not all trucks sit the same

I parked in front of my garage, turned lights on, taped off the top of the beam. Swapped headlights, swapped over motors to my new set. Closed garage door and adjusted to the same height as before.

I haven't received my lights yet, but does anyone have the thread on how to add the OEM leveling motors to the Spyder DRL Lights?
