During the processing if your connection is bad it will take forever or be incomplete and get a augment null message. I got text message but not a call during a write and was ok.

Decos are where it's at. Life changing after our remodel and the range on the wireless backbone has saved my neighbor a few times when their service was down.

so this guy on a fb group says tundras in the year/s that had factory SC available have a larger fuel map. but hes saying the non SC models have the larger fuel map as well.
what he did was a rear mounted turbo and hasnt touched and fueling parts and no tune running 4lbs of boost

    Too many mods to come

Larger fuel map with no larger components to accommodate the map. What could go wrong

Doesn’t Harrop offer a no-tune stage 1 setup? Stock injectors and stock tune configuration, but maybe a fuel pump upgrade, pushing up to 6.5psi IIRC. Not saying it’s the right way to do it, but Harrop thinks it’s ok.

Like @reywcms said - what could go wrong?

As a turbo guy previously running 4lbs of boost, I can say the stock pump and injectors could support it (at least up to 5k RPM), but without a tune, I'm curious how many miles he's put on it.

Knowing the oil analysis of my setup and the recent report from Jesse about how great the plugs looked, I'm just not sure how stock would fair long-term, even at low levels of boost.

Yeah, it’s a larger fuel pump and also a higher fuel pressure boost referenced FPR. Data logs revealed much to be desired though as I recall.

It would be interesting to hear the progress. Maybe it's fine and tuning is a waste. I struggle with that concept, but time will tell. I ran conservative, but IIRC, 5k RPM was the cutoff based on IDC being over 85%. Essentially the same as everyone here to get to 11 or less AFR.

To each their own and another data point in the making. Wish it wasn't a FB location.

Logs were crap or would have been if it didn't detonate around 4,000rpm causing me to roll out of it. If you're ok with using the knock sensor to "tune" your timing curves, it was fast :)

Lean is fast, rich is safe.

Did he run that with 3 T66 turbos and a Motec system exhaust? Good chance he overnighted the stuff from Japan.

Thanks a lot. Now I'll be watching that movie tomorrow as a result of this exchange. I'm due for the annual viewing. Pretty darn funny, though!

Well back in 2013 they ran the rear turbo with 535cc injectors, SC tune with about 4 psi without any issues. I dropped off the forums when that dude was tuning tundras around 2015...I lost contact with several members doing a turbo tune and placement like turbokits who was in Texas. He was probably on to something...I've been trying to power up an old phone with pics in my text msgs with the conversion.

Put in mi DW 650 injectors and DW FP. Have a problem now. I must have run the thin plastic hose that goes to the bottom of the FP bucket around the fuel level float. Now I have a full tank of gas. Was thinking of putting a hose on the return line from the fuel rail and pump it out that way. I am sure that there has to be a way to make the FP stay on to empty the tank. I believe someone did it here recently but searching through 650+ post isn't easy.

Yeah, don't want to but I am sure its in the tank unfortunately. Nothing else was messed with. Hopefully with the FP I can drain as much as possible. I probably had about 5 -7 left in the tank when I did it today. Not fun.
