So a few weeks back I test drove a 2024 GMC Sierra, the only thing it had on my 21 Tundra was a heated steering wheels, so I fixed that, also did the Meso volume correct at the same time.

    No more plastic tractor wheel.

Link to purchase added late, sorry forgot that.

I've looked at this hard, but wasn't sure about ordering, no one else seem's to have posted about this version here. How is the heat? All the way around or only in certain areas? How was the installation? Does the heat add much to the job?

Yes. I guess the installations are on other vehicles, so I am curious if anything surprising came up, I do know it should be basically identical. And I don't trust the people who sell the product to give me a honest description of how well it works.

    I'm a pessimist I suppose.

Dang I thought it was going to be $350. I'll have to ponder this one. The installation looks easy to mess up as well. OP, how was the installation?

Yes that is probably it, the box said cartrimhome, but I bought it on Amazon for under $400.

Had to extend wires on switch to get it over to center under radio as all the slots by steering wheel were full.

Watched the video install straight forward, only been on for a day now so time will tell, but looks like good quality, much better than the plastic steering wheel.

they are also listed on eBay.

$400 on Amazon. install was like video showed, had to extend wires on switch due to no empty switch locations near wheel, so put it in center under radio.

I just put it on yesterday and yesterday was pretty warm, turned it on for a few seconds, seems like it is all around but let me confirm on Monday morning. need to change clock spring to get the heat but it comes with the wheel.

I turned it on today was only about 45 degrees but wanted to try it out.

Heat is throughout the whole steering wheel.

It gets to a warm temp in few minutes, and continues to increase in temp until about about 15 or 20 minutes when I would say it is hot.

We have an explorer at work that if I turn on the heated steering wheel I usually turn it off after 5 minutes and then cycle it on and off to keep it warm but not too hot, this one I left on for my entire 25 minute commute and it was hot at the end, but not too hot.

I think he said he had to “extend the wiring” or something to get the switch to the center console (near the USB/12 volt I’d imagine) due to not having any blanks near the wheel.

Curious about this install as well. I wonder if the wiring could be incorporated to the rear window/side mirror defrost button (and its 10-15 min run time)

I haven’t purchased the wheel yet. Looks like there’s two different vendors selling the same wheel, for the same price ($390) on Amazon.

I too have been looking for alternate locations for the heated switch since all the dash openings on the left side are used.

OP, this is a wildly rad upgrade...thank you for providing us the "know!" Could you show us what the switch looks like? I'm just curious if it is merely a 2-wire switch or can be used or needs to be a several-wire switch...

Ch4x4 makes a switch for it. Good option as the color match of their switches is pretty close

edit: also could go the aliexpress route
