I have a firm and unchanging belief that towns with less than 12000 are what you are describing that you liked and towns with more than 12000 people are what you saw and didn't like. For example, when I have a new coworker from a big city, they say things like, "You guys don't have to chain your grills up!!!" Or, "I had a package on my porch all night and it was still there in the morning!"
Is that a fat joke?! :p me and my dad fit much better in my Tacoma than the rav. I'm actually really surprised at just how much I hated up front in the rav. It honestly just felt so narrow. The back seat was wayyy better than my Tacoma though.

I personally have never used Door Dash but I like that folks have the option. I would rather have someone who is at home drunk/high order some food via Door Dash then get behind the wheel and try to drive somewhere themselves while being impaired.

It also gives folks an opportunity to make a little money without necessarily having a fixed schedule or any specific skills beyond being able to safely drive somewhere.

I do agree, some of the Door Dash folks do look pretty grungy.

My neighborhood isn’t as fun as it used to be. Now, I just want to be free range too. The dream is real. Even the hens are rubbing it in.

The cheek pad is from Diamond D Leather out of Alaska. I had the sling made by a local leatherworker to match it.

The recoil isn't bad at all. 45/70 is a really versatile cartridge. I handload 300gr rounds with a lighter powder charge for plinking. I run S&B 405gr for bear defence rounds and they're surprisingly soft. Hornday LeverEvolution 325gr actually kick the hardest. I'd say my 7mm Rem Mag has worse overall recoil.

    300gr plinkers. LOL

As for the "pad" I should have clarified that I meant the recoil pad. I figured the cheek pad was added. What about the cord on the lever, factory or added after?

Recoil pad is factory. The cord on the lever is paracord that I added.

300gr is teeny tiny for this round. :D

No, that's a comment on how small the Taco is inside. I'm very average size and fit in our Corolla no trouble. My knees hit the dash in a second gen Taco and my understanding is the 3rd Gen is smaller.

70,000 in our town. Stay out of a couple neighborhoods and downtown, and it's great. We still want to move to a smaller town or an acreage, but like you said eariler we want to wait until kiddo is at least driving herself.

Lol see that's what I'm talking about, the "stay away from downtown and don't look like a victim and our city is great" lol. Towns under 12,000 you don't have to worry about going downtown. You just do what you want whenever you want and everything is fine lol

So do items coming inbound to you from Alaska face the same issues at the border as do inbound items crossing your southern border....

    yep. Marlin 1895 SBL.

Oh, you can go wherever you want whenever you want in this town. The bums just hang around downtown and petty theft is higher in the neighborhoods surrounding the downtown area. You're not gonna get shot or shanked or mugged anywhere in this town. Most towns within a 4 hour drive of mine are under 12,000. They're all about the same. Quiet, civil, nice places that still have the homeless shelter, rehab center that focuses the bums and within a radius of that area there is higher rates of property crime and small time theft. Being in close proximity to an indian reserve like some towns here also increases crime, no matter how big or small your town is.

Usually, since the CBSA pukes all follow the same made-up-on-the-spot-by-fools rules. I got this cheek piece at a local gun show but something like it generally wouldn't have an issue crossing the border, unless the CBSA puke of the day has sticky fingers.

Aren't you just outside of Edmonton, like Sherwood Park? Yeah, I don't think those bedroom communities really have a downtown.

Wanted a Marlin 1894 in .357mag for the longest time. Once all of the pistol caliber carbines came out in 9mm I lost all desire for a lever action. It was the idea of a handgun and rifle sharing the same cartridge that sucked me in.

It was the realization that an SBR in 5.56 was better than any PCC that pushed me away from PCC's also.

Not that many of the folks here would call it a barrier, but SBRs come with $300 stamps and months of waiting. And different states may still say no bueno (and they can fv(k right off). Besides, just look at that Marlin...

I totally agree. I'm currently living in California and my suppressors and SBR's are back in storage in Arizona. I head to Arizona for a few days once a year, pull my stuff out of storage have some fun, put everything back in storage and go back home. One day I'll leave California and this will all be a moot point.

SBR's have further restrictions. You need ATF approval to cross over into another state with an SBR prior to going there, even if SBR's are legal in the state you are traveling through. It's why many folks just use pistol braces.

We stayed out front handing out candy. Most were dressed. A few older kids were not, but I just gave them the look. At the end of the day, its just candy, and we had more than enough to go around. I would rather them be trick-or-treating then doing dumb shit.
Others in the neighborhood, who left their bowls out, had their bowls emptied by 1-2 kids and they took the bowl. That, that...that is fucked up. Little kids should always have candy available from each house.

Our street is wide enough, and I live on the bottom of the street. Plenty of room for them to go different directions and gutters.
