No more Powertrax?

I received an email from Powertrax that the Grip Pro LSD for the 10.5 inch rear end is no longer being manufactured. Does anyone know any further details about this?

They were supposed to manufacture the gears in later 2024!!

 

I hope this isn’t true, but if it is I believe Speedmaster makes a helical gear style that is very similar to the powertrax but it may cost a bit more.

 

Powertrax and Motive gear have the same owner, so along with the cheap sell off of the gear sets, I wouldn’t be surprised. Unfortunately it is a low production volume extinct dinosaur, and don’t think there will be much aftermarket support in the future.

That thought crossed my mind too, sadly. Guess we need to stock up on some aftermarket parts. Sounds like a great excuse to feed the wives.

 

Thanks! Been trying to find a power Trax and found one for $1k. After comparing the 2 I'm going with the Speedmaster lsd.

It was on a closeout tire site about 4 pages in from my search. I'm checking it out and hope to hear something tomorrow. I'm leaning towards the speed master lsd and just seeing if a deal can be made if its legit.

 

Well darn share with the class the webpage. I’d also verify a lot of websites drop ship from manufacturer.

 

The scan I did had it as a couple month old company with phishing and malware viruses etc.
