Honestly, it doesn’t bother me. Last place was not hoa. I brought food to my neighbors and helped him work on what of his side yard project cars. Plus the city won’t actually let thing become a “junk yard.” They have blight laws, but they won’t give a crap if you put a tire in the gravel when parking. Hoa will give you a 100 fine. I got a fine from my hoa for an approved project (lending library). They acknowledge they did it wrong but demanded I pay any way. Told them it’s small claims court then and they backed off. Friends down the road get something every other month for putting their cans out the night before or not taking them in by night time.

 

The part that really pisses me off is that they don't enforce the important things, the streets are thin & not lighted so there is a no overnight parking rule. People (renters) have multiple cars & park up & down the streets, nothing happens. It's infuriating.

XM just made me turn off the BMWs radio, it had been 4.xx a month for a year, (plus tax) they billed 23, I called expecting another 83 dollars a year, no, 7.xx was the best. No way I'm paying that for a car I'll be lucky to drive 200 miles a year and not drive 5-6 months a year.

I have Apple music free for 3 months, should get me out of the winter & I'll deal with it next winter.

 

HOAs aren't popular in this corner of Canada, but all I have to say is what?!?! Junkyards and people camping in their front yard....where the hell do you live man?!?!? Also, for that kind of issue, we just call our bylaw officer and he will ticket people into next week if they go full hoarder. Also, getting fined for parking a bit off your driveway, I couldn't imagine living with that kind of communism, thought you Americans were all about "'muh freedoms" and "don't tread on me", you're gonna let some bored housewife tell you what part of your front yard you can/can't use?!?!

 

Our HOA sucks but if you comply they don't actually fine. (I'd be livid if they did) I got a similar notice about a year ago on the other side, I'll park ON THE FREAKING LINE for a while & move to the other side again, they can start over next year.

It's actually a nice area 5acre minimum, horse farms etc. House behind me sold to a young couple who had no respect for neighbors. They have a camper but invited their family to stay with another rv which you need a permit, they started dismantling 2 cars. It was not done in a order way. They started clearing land by a stream which has a critical 300ft buffer. Anyways got together with other neighbors and we reported them. The county fined them a substantial amount. 2 months later it's cleaned up and quiet again.

XM plot thickens, irritation multiplies.

They (as predicted at the end of the call) called back, offered 68.xx for the year, I said ok, they could not charge the card they charged yesterday, claimed it was my or my bank's fault, tried 2 other cards (all good) nope. Guy went away & said oops, we are having a problem charging cards. I went away accomplishing nothing again....

 

The oil pressure & water temp gauges in the BMW refuse to work, taking the center console apart is a massive PITA so I ordered a Scangauge, was supposed to ship Monday, The seller insitsts he dropped it off then, said the P.O. was understaffed & slow to scan. 4 days?

Am I the asshole thinking he is full of it??

 

I mean my USPS package went from Detroit to California, to Dallas, and then to California again lol. FedEx has also been off with deliveries for like the last year.

 

Thay all suck, it's insane.

 

OMG! Called XM back & got the Platinum plan (no clue what more it has) for 60 for the year. WTF???
