finally made it home for a week after a month. Got my beer, got a chair that doesnt fold. Whats happenin?

Think i wanna use a predator ghost on a chopped ruckus chassis. Tops of the handlebars gotta be closer to 34".

...see, i get a plan together, and can picture it in my head, and while searching for examples, someone, somewhere has made what i need better.

This reminds me...we've got one of the only certified Dark Sky zones east of the Mississippi a couple hours from my place (the majority of them in the US are in the West). Need to take my crew. It's a silver tier designation. We've camped in the backcountry in the area, but the woods are too thick to see anything.

My battery is still over 13.6v after 20 hours of a constant 18-20v draw.
    IMG_8643.jpg
the battery wont start the pop-ups a/c. Just the fan is 420w. Could probably start it if i added a capacitor.

This is something I would be interested in as well.

It is amazing how dark things can get. My home town, you never get true dark. I moved hours north and we get DARK, but on the scale of things, it still isnt that great. When i go out west, it feels like you can see the interior cab light miles away

Out to sea is the best darkness I have found. We were 127miles offshore and cut off all our lights

Can’t imagine being a sailor back in the day

Summer going into sr. year of high school I had an in-window AC (old New England house) and put tin foil around the rest of the window + plugged all the gaps on doors. Couldn’t see your hand in front of your face at high noon :anonymous:

My uncle was convinced I was on psychedelics and called my room the catacomb :notsure:

Could sleep forever but was kinda crazy how quickly you lose sense of time when you’re subject to darkness. Was perfect during two-a-day weeks and a job mixed in there somewhere

I sort of agree. I have been in absolute darkness on land and under water. Plus Beautiful darkness out west. Off shore, I mostly have been during the day but the one time I remember the 0300 hour, it reminded me of out West. I would need to do it again for science reasons lol... let me grab my fishing pole and tell me where to be lol

Yeah, it's crazy out there. When I was in the Navy I'd go out on the deck at night just to see all the stars. You can see them all the way down to the horizon. You could also see the curvature of the earth. It's something everybody should see at least once.

Let us not forget to mention that everyone should also get their pollywog cert... once in a lifetime experience right there.

First time I saw the the horizon not looking so flat I thought I was loosing my mind. Being out to sea on a naval vessel for months had some of the best star gazing I've ever attended.

Coolest part of that trip is we drove the boat home under night vision tubes. White phosphorus for the win. That was crazy as hell.

A building we are leasing used to belong to a grow light company. There’s a light testing lab in there that is a light- and sound- deprivation room about 20’ square with 12’ ceilings.
Go in there, shut the door, walk into the middle of the room and then hit the remote to turn off the lights. Instantly you’re equilibrium goes out the window - it’s wild how your brain reacts to the instant loss of two senses.
