Someone backed into me last night and drove off. Does dashcam record while the vehicle is off? Full disclosure, I haven't even linked the camera to my app yet?

If it's not linked I don't think it records. If it was linked it has parking mode and would've recorded from the hit

Mine tells me that it is going into parking mode. Its a BlackVue unit.

You might be able to pull the memory card and see the video clips if it isn't linked to your phone.
