Hi everyone, I have purchased another Gen 2 Sequoia. The liftgate will not open or close remotely with the key fob or with the switch on the dash. I did check to make sure the lockout switch is enabled.

When I press either button, I only hear a beep indicating that it's some sort of error. I can lift it by hand without issue.

Had the same problem with my 2008 Sequoia and fixed it by replacing the pneumatic lifts... BUT on the older one, the door lock would unlock and the door just wouldn't rise. On this one, the liftgate does not move at all and I do not hear the lock unlocking.

I did swap the pneumatic cylinders for new ones.
I checked the electrical and can tell that a signal is being sent out to the motor and the liftgate.

Perhaps the sensor thinks the door is in the wrong position?
Maybe the lock actuator isn't working?

Any advice on what to check next?
