    Hello,

    2020 Toyota Tundra SR5

SYMTOMS: engine bogs down and nearly shuts off when accelerating.

TOYOTA DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSTICS: Battery Fail, Fuel Pump caused from bad gas.

DEALERSHIP CHARGE: $2600. I have an after market warranty but dealership would not service stating “bad gas’s is not a manufacturer defect”

    MAINTENANCE DONE:
    Had it towed back home-
used seafoam and new gas: worked like new for 3 weeks

symptoms arose again, went to AutoZone, was recommended to change spark plugs and could be a bad coil. Changed 7/8 plugs without a problem. The rear spark plug on driver side seems to either be rounded out or stripped as the coil will not sit flush. Tried the knuckle, penetration oil, spark plug extractor, extractor with extender to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I’m in the Dallas area.

    Thank you!

The factory spark plugs are recommended for replacement at 100,000 miles. Are you near that mileage?

How long (time, mileage) has this "bogging down" been going on?

    I'm suspecting crappy fuel.

There was a fuel pump recall, runs your VIN through active recalls.

Would love to see a certified lab report for "bad gas". Otherwise the dealer can wipe his butt with that "bad gas" claim.

Oh. That's ^^^ right. You need to run your VIN through the Mama Toyota website. My 2017 was not in the recall.
