So sorry to hear this OP. Does your truck fall under the engine recall? As a new ‘24 not sure that it does, you should check w/your dealer right away. So sorry this is happening, at 7 months and 16K miles it’s practically brand new. Should never happen. Toyota will make it right but may take a while. Good luck we’re all here to help.

Hopefully it is just that glitch in the matrix and they can just right fast and in a hurry reflash the Hal 2000 (computer) and send you on your way. Good luck

And this person, same issue as me.

"They said they will need to do a full short block rebuild. Apparently they are still waiting on some parts which they hope to have in another week, and then saying about 3 weeks to do the repair. So still hoping 1-2 months. Because mine is not on any recall list they will not do the crate motor. "

    Its on reddit... a rebuild...

I am sorry to hear about this OP.

There is a thread stickied to list your blown up motor and resolution.

I’m so glad I dodged the V35A-FTS bullet with this 3rd Gen Tundra. What a debacle.

    Have they diagnosed the issue?

I'm also sorry for OP's misfortune.
Until he/dealer confirms it's bearing related engine failure, I'll go with the "ghost in the machine" explanation. Innocent until proven guilty? Eternal optimism? Whatever.

Now if it IS confirmed engine failure, and if, like the other hybrid owners with engine failure, he's only getting a shortblock/rebuild instead of an entire crate motor, that is BS of the highest order on Toyota's part.

I do believe Toyota will end up recalling all motors that have that original part #

Should I remove all my mods? put all the stock exhaust and air intakes before I take it in? Or you think you'll be all right.

    None….so far
Personally I wouldn’t give them any ammo to document. Go back to stock. Dealer tried to mark my Tacoma as aftermarket because it had trd. Made them correct it

I got these same messages when I disconnected my battery jump point on my fuse block to install my Diode Dynamics light bar. After I hooked up the light bar and put the truck in drive I got all 3 messages and my heart sank. I also got the "visit the dealer for service" message. For S&G's I hooked up my very basic code reader and I had no codes and the messages went away. That was 6 months ago and I haven't seen any more warning messages.

If you have access to a code reader I'd try that and erase all codes if even it doesn't show anything before removing all the mods you've made and scheduling service. Modern cars are so sensitive to any electrical drops or surges weird things can happen.

Great to hear. Had me concerned for a sec.

I like to check my boost tube clamps every 3rd oil change to see if they need to be tightened.

If you undo the battery for 15 minutes it should clear all codes.....then just fire it up and see if the warnings return

CAN-bus systems are beyond my skills with a multimeter. A little thing like a wrong gauge wire or bad joint connection can lead to gremlins.

I had the same errors. My issue was the positive post in the fuse box under the hood was loose. Caused all the issues apparently. Also I’ve been told it isn’t an uncommon issue with other Toyota hybrids.

The guy had the same exact error messages 5 days before mine on Reddit and he had to get a short engine block rebuild. that freaked me out. Same month he bought his car almost the same mileage, not covered under the recall they gave him a Camry as a loaner for approximately 2 months
