What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Yeah... the plan is to use them to hang a mesh net from the ceiling, but they need to be chopped down for sure hahahah.

 

Honestly, just for your scalp's sake, throw vacuum line caps over them. I do this with any exposed bolts where skin may come in contact. Your body's largest organ will appreciate it.

Got my balls changed out today upper and lowers OEM. GOD she drives lovely now. So smoooooth.

 

The belt line window trim had deteriorated since the build date of July 99, so it was time to replace. Very easy process, costly, but worth it I think.

No, they are custom gaskets or universals. DD exhaust systems are custom made.

 

No issues with my gaskets.

 

This is the header gaskets that @empty_lord recommended. They worked great on my 03. On my 06 the passenger side leaked and I had to bring the truck back to the muffler shop for them to install the gasket that came with the JBAs

 

any link to the gaskets you bought? were talking exhaust system joints right? not manifold

Anyone know if there is a gasket between the throttle body and the intake? I’ve seen a few videos and not sure if there is one. I want to clean mine with the maf tomorrow and don’t want to be stuck with needing a gasket. May as well just use the cleaner and a rag to get most of it

 

No gasket between the TB and intake tube.

 

Sorry not the intake tube. Can’t remember what it’s called, I take plenum? The backside of the throttle body

Between the throttle body and intake manifold? I believe so. There was on my LS430, which has the same intake manifold.

Metal gasket with rubber edges. Like the water pump gasket.

I have RTV on mine and they leak.

 

I think it's a just a generic pipe gasket the shop used. I wish I could be more helpful. I think he said he got em from an auto part store. But this was like 3 years ago.
Maybe check with your local auto parts store or muffler shop.

How well does that oil gauge work?
Mine sometimes works, but at this point it's rare.

 

But seriously it works every day. I cleaned the sensor out and where it mounts. That improved it's performance a little. But still reads as expected, low.

 

I need to do that. But I don't know where to start.

 

Next oil change, after all the oil is drained, unplug the sensor and unscrew it. It's that simple. You can do it np bruh.

 

Yeah but where is the sensor? On the pan?
