Starting to become less interested in relationships

Why is it so hard to be in a relationship. I’m hating it at this point. This woman that I’ve been with for a year and 7 months is driving me insane. I love her with my heart but we mostly her she gets mad over the most silly

I hate how she’s like why do you keep this old truck why do you do this, why is my ex better than you.

love her but getting tired. I’m done with females after her Atleast for 10 more years because females bring me nothing but trouble.

 

I wasted my early 20's and nearly 5 years with a girl who always made me feel crazy and said similar things about her ex. I get how easy it is to be blinded but as others said- drop it like a bad habit. This will never work. I like the idea of taking her to the "ex". Gotta take the trash directly to the dump sometimes

 

At this point, I would have said "I don't know. Let me know how your next boyfriend answers this question" and ended it there. Whether or not she realizes it, she's got issues she HAS to work out if she's doing that crap.

I will be honest and say this...in my 20's, after a string of like 4 failed 'relationships' that crashed and burned, I remember saying something like "God, YOU are going to have to find me a decent girl, because I'm tired of this crap" and I stopped trying.

That for me was the key. Once I realized I was at peace without 'needing' a relationship, it went from trying to 'have' one to letting it happen naturally, in its own time.

LITERALLY the next day, I met a girl, who was as hurt as I was. Took things slow...and we've been married 22 years as of this last July.

 

Yep - that’s something that won’t change and no way to live. Sorry man.

 

she got mad at me one time because I changed my brakes and she’s said why didn’t you just sell your truck. I told her brake is a maintenance thing so why would I sell my truck just because I needed new brakes.

My wife got mad at me one time because she thought that my saying I might need to put more air in the tires on her car meant I thought it was a piece of junk.

 

Dump her ass - I just made you a new AI girlfriend that'll change your brakes for you. You might want to talk to her about cleaning up before she gets in your truck though.

Who needs a girlfriend if you can have beer and wilderness, both at the same time? Woman in life == no fun in life.

I have 3 kids from one, but she's not in a menopause yet. So I take beer and wilderness any day, just to stay safe...

No better advise than this

 

When mine gets like this it means she wants anal and don't spare the torque.

 

I mean, there might be some grace there, but honestly, that was the case for me. Wife still lived at home when I met her (she was 22), but she had her own job, was in school to become a nurse, had her own vehicle, no debt, had like $20K in the bank, etc., so it was very much obvious that she didn't 'need' me. Same went for me, so it allowed us to focus on each other, and not each other's issues or resolving them.

That does happen as a natural part of a relationship, but if we're their caretaker or parent from the get-go as opposed to their significant other....there's an issue.
