I’ve just purchased the KMC542 wheels and bilstein leveling kit; 6112s, 5100s and control arms. My question. What’s your favorite tire you’ve had or wish you had. ($2000ish budget) this truck will be on pavement about 80% of the time but I have land in Wyoming that is a lot of fun. Iv always been a big BGF fan and I love the look of the MT baja boss tires, Iv considering ridge grapplers too. What’s your favorite tire and what is going to look rad on this truck?

Forgive me if I’m posting in the wrong thread. Still new here.

I've heard good things about that Baja Boss tire. I personally have turned into a big Toyo fan boy and have run 5 sets of Toyo MTs on my 80, 100, Tacoma and now Tundra. They're my favorite tire yet and do great offroad. Never had a flat. Not too noisy. And I think they look great.

I'm told the MT Baja Boss A/T's are a phenomenal tire. A friend had them on his Duramax (in Wyoming, of all places) and swore up and down by them. I was running Cooper AT3's at the time, but we both had to back up the same super steep driveway in the dead of winter; I made it about half way up and ran out of traction. 4Lo with al little momentum solved the issue. His truck with the MT's basically walked up with. Aside from snow, he said they wore great (which says a lot as HD trucks eat through tires), were comfortable and handled well, chewed through any terrain he threw at them, were fairly quiet, and were the best tire he'd ever run. But they are HEAVY... and EXPENSIVE...

I'm a fan of Nokian's new Outpost NAT (even though we are currently in a little bit of a lover's spat right now) but I'm not sure how aggressive you might think they are. They are definitely beefier in person. They are phenomenal rear round and have taken everything I've thrown at them, including axle deep muddy fields and rocker-deep snow.

Pic of actual tire on my truck when new...

I really like the Cooper Discovery AT, I had them on my old ranger... 10-ply tire, I think they were 11 years old when I sold the truck and got the tundra. I cannot wait to get a pair of them on this tundra

I ended up going with some Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Bilstein 6112 leveling kit and some Method wheels.

Good choice. I also just got Ridge Grapplers. Very surprised how quiet they are.

    Love the machined wheels btw.
