Brothers need some help. I have a rattling sound coming from the inside the cab in the rear. I have tried everything just about. Taping down the rear seatbelts, thinking they are knocking up against the side. I looked behind the seat and took out the tire changing equipment. I can't find this damn rattle sound. Over a bumpy road it is a constant rattle. Took it to Toyota they cannot find the damn thing. They hear it though. About 7 thousand miles in. They did replace the glass in the panoramic roof because of a leak, but I can't see how that is causing the rattling sound. Any ideas will help. Could it be outside or underneath?

I had an annoying rattle similar to what you are describing on my 2016 CM. I eventually found it. The culprit was the passenger running board. The aft-most mounting bolt was bottoming out somehow so that I had to really torque it to tighten it enough to stop the rattle. I would tighten it and then it would loosen up (even though it still felt pretty tight) and start rattling after a few hundred miles. So I added a nice thick lock washer and haven't had a problem since.

Thanks. I am out in East Texas, and every uneven road I hear it. I have to turn on the radio to drown out the rattle.

I found I could replicate the rattle by applying pressure to the rear of the running board with my foot and then sliding my foot off while applying downward pressure. It would cause a vibrating rattle. I went through the same process as you, thinking it was inside somewhere or a seat-belt. So annoying.

    Good Luck, hope this helps.
