Loaded question incoming but I am looking for some feedback on my already gathered thoughts...

I currently have the Icon 2.5's and honestly, for the money, they have done me very well. Would recommend them if you're new to the game and want some shocks on your truck that wont break the bank but will still provide with a little bit better of a ride off road.

I have gotten to a point where I want to upgrade but I cant make up my mind. I am thinking of going with the King 2.5's (the kit from CJC offroad). Seems like for the money, they are pretty hard to beat? Curious to hear some more opinions. I know there are alot of OME fans and I am also interested in ADS.

    Tastefully enhanced...
In order: ADS, then King, ... OME is down a bit further...they're better for LCs, 4runners, etc...the Tundra makes them show their challenges more...

If you already have 2.5s then you're just buying a new color more or less. Your best bet would be to get the shocks rebuilt and customized to your truck. People will say the Icons are digressive valving and stuff but all of that can be changed with a rebuild if you want.

Now if you don't want to fuck with dropping the shocks off at a rebuild shop and just buy a different brand, I don't think you can go wrong with a lot of options. The Dobinsons seem to slap, I like the Fox stuff too. ADS is good but feels a bit behind on technology (in regards to adjustment). The Kings aren't bad.

It all begins with the question: What are you looking to do better or different than what you are doing now?

How do you drive it and where would you prefer to spend $$$?

Kings rode great at 60mph on gravel on my Tacoma but was overkill unneccesary expense for 99% of my driving.

You might do well with rebuild and tuning on your current stuff.

I'm really liking the new Dirt King 2.0 stuff on my Tundra now but haven't pushed them off road much yet. So far fronts are great all around, rear is just ok on rough paved road but good offroad. I assume their 2.5s would be pretty good but price is a big jump up from 2.0s.

Well, First of all I have an interesting problem with my Icons. My front passenger side shock is able to rotate back and forth on its axis (if that makes sense). It seems to me like the top bushing is worn out and allowing the shock to rotate. This is causing an annoying clanking noise when going over bumps. So im wanting to fix that.

Also, Im looking for less bucking in the rear. From what im gathering, I may be better off keeping these shocks and getting new leaf packs?

Thanks for all the responses guys. Im new to the whole suspension world and obviously have alot to learn. I just like to go offroad and have fun and now im realizing there are many levels to that fun.
