yes, I ended up cutting holes in my panels so the tweeters could sit in it. I used a socket to trace the circle and used dremel tool to make the holes. I hope this helps.

I reached out to James, but he has not responded yet...

I installed the front door hertz speakers/tweeters this weekend but am having some issues. Rear door speakers are still stock because I ran out of time. Here is the rest of my set-up on a 2021 Tundra Platinum with JBL all from tech12volt:

    - JBL Amp Replacement
    - JBL sub replacement
    - audiofrog dash speakers x3

When I turn the volume above 36 on stock headunit, sound pops in and out, almost like some sort of safety limiter. Did I do something wrong? Do amp settings need to change? Don’t think any wires are loose/pinched. Any suggestions?

The easiest way is to mount them from the back of the tweeter, not the front. I used a little dish soap to lube the ring. It went on in about 10 seconds.

Mount the ring from the back of the tweeter. Use a little dish soap as a lubricant and it will go on easily.

I put the ring on the panel first then pushed the tweeter into it. Snug fit but that's what ya want.

I'm confused on what I am supposed to do with the y-adapters concerning the amp and the loc. Amp is JL RD9005. LOC is simple 4 channel.

Has anyone replaced the hertz rear component speakers out with a 2-way speaker and had issues with them working afterwards? I recently installed kicker 6 3/4 and after I wired the drivers side, I tested and it worked. Installed passenger side and now neither of the rear speakers work.

You sure you didn’t blow a fuse? Double check the connections and make sure they’re tight.

Fixed it by removing the harness with the inline crossover and reinstalling the factory tweeter connector.
