Sig Sauer X-RAY3 Enhanced Visibility 3-Dot Tritium Square Notch Day/Night Sight

Just picked up a used P220. Ordered these sights to replace the dead tritium sights on the gun. Turns out this model is a dark elite which has a different dovetail cut and these sights won’t work. They’re brand new in box, my loss is your gain.

MOST Sig P-series use the same standard front and rear dovetails (except for a few specific releases, as OP found out with the Dark Elite).
As a “standard” Sig used the #6 front/#8 rear combination (which this set is) for the 40SW and 45ACP pistols - most P220, P226, P229, and P320 chambered in these two calibers used this combination (while 9mm and 357SIG used 8F/8R).
It has also been found that a lot of the shorter 3.1” barrel P365 pistols in 9mm also used this 6F/8R sight combination.

If swapping sights on an existing Sig - if it currently hits where you want it but you’re just looking for new or upgraded sights - you should use a good magnifying glass and check the sights in your pistol. The sight number will usually by stamped very small on the horizontal flat of the dovetail piece on the front sight, and on the side or top of the rear sight. Confirm the numbers and order accordingly.

OP - you can call Sig customer service and arrange to send that slide in to be serviced and have the sights upgraded since the original sights are no longer available. It will cost a little bit more than just the sights, but they’ll usually strip and clean and replace other parts (springs, pins) as part of the service.

Found a more recent chart of common sight numbers for various Sig pistols with based on model and caliber. It isn’t gospel, but it’s what is most commonly seen.

 

Thanks. I did call them and they told me they didn’t offer sights for that model anymore. They directed me to Dawson Precision who sells a set of fiber optic sights for the Dark Elite model, so that’s what I ended up purchasing.


These are now sold.
