Hi all, I have a 2013 Toyota tundra and I took it in to Big O tires for an oil change and 3 faulty tire pressure sensors both front sensors were bad along with drivers side rear. after they were done I got a call shortly after they may have left the oil filter tool on the filter... I looked and didn't see anything so I'm assuming it fell off.

The following day on my way to work I was getting on an on ramp left turn at a speed of around 40-50 mph. I started to hear a rattling sound and my traction control started blinking. I started to slightly break and could feel the vibration in cadence with the rattle in the brake peddle. Once it straightened out it stopped. It has done it 2 times on the same on-ramp (driven it that route 4 times now post Big O work) and it never did that before the work was done.

I would like to be prepared for when I take it back in as to what could be causing this since I firmly believe it was something they did considering I take that route to work 4 times a week and never heard that sound prior to the work. Any ideas? much appreciated!

My guess is that the rattling was the tool falling off the oil filter housing. It likely hit the wire going to one of the front wheel speed sensors and broke it. Or the tool is stuck near the cv axle. Now you are getting traction warnings because the ecu is seeing different speeds on the front two wheels. Have the shop put a code reader on it and observe the 4 wheel speeds. They should be identical when going straight.

yet one more reason to do this kind of work yourself
