Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been tearing through the forums the last few days trying to find someone with a similar problem, but haven't been able to get a concise answer.

Condition: temperature control is non-functioning, i'm only getting max heat out of the vents. Fan speed selector is fine, vent selection is fine, all the lights turn on and everything is working normally. I can press the AC button and i can hear the compressor kick on no problem, it just is only blowing full on heat. Upon startup I can hear servos/motors working on the driver side dash, but there is a delay before anything starts blowing so I assume the control unit is running checks and isnt recognizing one of the servos. I'm assuming this is an issue with the blend door and its just stuck on the heat side. Anybody else have this issue or similar? Hoping I dont have to completely tear the dash out, but am capable and will do so if it means I can avoid a few thousand at the dealer. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you all!

Have you checked for a refrigerant leak? Or pressure test? Pretty easy to do, and $50-60 for a can of the refrigerant if you need it.

Other than that, it's likely the blend door. Dash has to come out/off unfortunately. I had a similar issue where my HVAC core had to be replaced. Thankfully it was under warranty. $1900 (or thereabouts) otherwise.

Thanks for the reply, definitely not the HVAC system as it was blowing perfectly cold literally hours before this happened (was working in the morning on the way to work and issue happened when I left for lunch)

I'll start digging into the dash removal as well so I can get prepared. It's a CPO but I don't think this will be covered under warranty at this point, guess it never hurts to ask.
