Have you taken your LC on any good moderate trails/adventures?

Nothing to brag about. Tundra gets all the fun. I do want to take it down Black Bear Pass when I have the opportunity. It’s been up the backside of Mt Lemmon and through some desert dirt but nothing wild.

We are taking it all the way across I-10 to southern Florida in about 7 weeks for spring break. :eek2:

That will be a fun trip in the LC. Make sure you get some slaps and beers from Tom. Kinda what I am looking for. At the moment, my truck is the travel vehicle and that is fine. I have been looking at Cadilac's (ATS V, CTS V, CT4 V Blackwing) and those are fun AF but probably as practical as my Corvette was (well, they do have a back seat).

I do enjoy being outdoors without too many limits, and the LC meets those needs in comfort. I do like the newer Jeep JLU and what they offer, but for around the same cost I could give up a little off-road capability and gain Toyota quality/reliability...and a kick ass LC.

Don't blame you for taking the Tundra. It's purpose built for your specific needs...and it's pretty bad ass. I'd build mine just like yours.

This right here...doesn't get much better.

I know I’d get myself in trouble quickly with any of those vehicles - I’m not responsible enough for the hp to weight ratios on those.

We are really looking forward to the roadtrip - finally get to put the cool box to proper use storing drinks and snacks for the road. Kids will probably have the Nintendo switch or movies going on the screens in the back.

The 200 definitely has some quirks that probably impacted its popularity but are relatively easy for me to overlook. The front infotainment/navigation system isn’t great - feels dated and very similar to what was in my 2007 GX. Problem with changing anything is I don’t think there is a way to retain the 360 camera system - which is badass - if you pull the OEM HU.

My other complaints are the steering wheel on MY2016-2018 has a leather coating that likes to flake and peel which is an annoying feature for a $80k SUV but nothing $500 for a replacement wheel can’t fix. Not having a power rear lift-gate or remote start is something I don’t quite understand - the vehicle is over the top luxury in some areas but lacks basic tech in others.

Why I love it - It drives like it’s on rails with the KDSS, seats are first class airplane comfortable, adequate power with smooth shifting, quiet smooth ride, soft leather everywhere, black interior/headliner with the brown leather and dark blue metallic paint is a great color scheme imo.

Need to give it a few years until the wife is ready for a new vehicle - then I’ll put the Tundra on 40s and throw a BP51 suspension, bumpers, winch, and 35s on the LC for my daily.

There are add in units that add android to the head unit. Grom Vline, Beatsonic, EC Offroad, etc. Factory cameras still work as normal...

Changed the oil today - 115k and still runs like new.

Did you change it at 5am? Or just jump in the pool after you were done baking in the sun?

Hot garage - showered after. I was already a sweaty mess from putting @RainMan_PNW’s switch plate in the truck.

Time has come for some tires - almost went up a size to an AT but decided in the end I couldn’t give up the quiet / smooth ride I’m getting on the stock sized Michelins.

    285 / 60 18 Defenders going on tomorrow. 40lbs / tire and a 70k mileage warranty can’t be beat.

Oil change over the weekend - 121k miles. I pulled a sample for analysis but not sure I’ll waste the money getting it done…

Did have an issue with the rear AC blowing warm for a bit - TSB I found on line called for a servo recalibration using TechStream and it seemed to resolve the issue. Also adjusted the climate control setting -2C and it freezes us out now if you set it below 75. :yay:
