Can anyone tell me what’s wrong? Got a little carried away in the mud and when I got out my front end was like this. It’s only the passenger side like that

Get a pic below and inside of the bumper shooting back at the lower control arm.
Get under there and wipe it up. Then post a pic. I’m gonna go with broken, not bent.

Oh wow. I'm hoping it's only the tie rod. They are pretty weak anyway. Time for an upgrade.

FYI, not endorsing RC...just a comparison pic.

No I’ve done all my offroad destruction in land cruisers. I’m really new to this IFS stuff.
It’s why I ask, but my mechanical eye says that doesn’t look right, but it’s inexperienced
to this front end. This is going to be a good learning experience. Luckily not at my expense.

It may be that the inner tie rod connection has let go, but that doesn’t make sense.

These things are huge compared to that new Land Cruiser, really pretty beefy to be honest.
I’m not arguing that it’s a weak link, but it’s a pretty well made weak link.

Never thought of that, it looks out of shape doesn’t it? So with parts in hand, is a CV swap possible in the mud?

Lol, I’m on my phone and my old eyes can barely see it. But it looks like the boot is completely gone and I think I see axle grease on the tire.

If he can’t swap the CV on the trail, he can just leave in the inner cup and remove the rest. I had to do that once. Hopefully he has a wrench for the castle nut. Ofcourse he’d have to limp home in 2wd too.

Looks like you knocked the alignment cams out of wack, it happens when not torqued properly. Bent anything in the tie rods/rack would pull the toe in, not out.:hattip:

See, that's an experienced eye. So is that adjustable back if he jacks it up on the spot? How would you get it close so you
can drive it home? I suppose directly to an alignment shop?

Yes, could eyeball it close enough and limp to an alignment shop for repairs. Even easier if you mark them, but from my experience they don’t move if torqued correctly.

I'm surprised they move that much to poke the wheel out like that.

Looks like a subframe drop lift kit, I bet that is bent AF.

It takes a good bit to move them, and no doubt other things could be tweaked/bent. The cam is obvious though in the pic..

Like @ColoradoTJ said, if the other wheel is straight, how is that attached that it can cause such a major misalignment?
This is a vertical learning curve for me, but I have to figure it out fast if I want to take my truck out. Seems like a lot of
moving parts compared to simple straight axle. How many of these cam adjusters are there in the front end? (I am at work, couple thousand miles from my truck so
can't just go out and look)

Tie rod boot seems to be wet, can be a leak from the steering rack.

Pop the dust cap, big 35 mm nut, but undo that and see if the axle can be hammered back? Remove the whole CV axle. Maybe drive it home?
    If that's what it is.

Pretty sure the axle nut is a 12P 39mm, not 35mm.

Thanks, just saw a video of a guy doing a Tacoma. First thing that came to my head. 39 mm is good to know.
