2024 Tundra . I have noticed this since I got my truck
And I don’t roll my rear window very often.

I get a strong mold smell when I roll the rear window down.
My kids and wife definitely notice it.

has anyone else had this issue?

I'm not sure if that's related, but when I was browsing through TIS (techinfo.toyota.com), there was either TSB, a service campaign (or some other document) related to water damage and mold. IIRC, some vehicles might be subject to water leakage and water damage prior to delivery (sic!). TSB laid out a procedure for the dealer to clean and remove the mold.

I don't remember all the details—I just skimped over the document. One thing I remember was that it showed a picture of a cab interior stripped down to metal (center console, seats, carpet, etc.), so it looked pretty involving. If yours were subject to a water leak, it's possible the dealer half-assed the cleanup.

The document listed a testing procedure (IIRC, some test strips) that can be sent to the lab to determine whether everything is as clean as it should be.

Again, I'm not sure if it's related. Just the mold and window you mentioned reminded me of that document.

There are threads about rear windows leaking. Mostly big leaks but a Minor leak/seep will cause mold.
