    Hi everyone
I bought a 2014 4wd tundra with the v8. I had a coolant leak I couldn't find until I noticed it dripping from the transmission pan, so just to stop the leak I siliconed around the pan and tightened the bolts a little tighter( it stopped the coolant leak).. I was wondering if the transmission fluid and the antifreeze is now mixing together. Is there anyone that could answer this question for me ? I'm worried I maybe ruining my truck.. any help would be greatly appreciated

What? How did you know it was coolant in your transmission? And why would you silicone the pan to stop the leak? lol. My god. You need to bring it to a qualified mechanic and stop touching the truck.

Transmission fluid is red just like the coolant...are you sure it's not just a transmission leak? You shouldn't need to silicone the pan, if tightening the bolts to spec doesn't fix it you might need a new gasket.

    Welcome from NY.
Sounds like you need a new pan gasket.
